Flat connectors are versatile. They can transfer both compression and tensile forces, provided that the force is applied centrally, as well as absorb lifting forces.
They are suitable for wood-to-wood and wood-to-concrete connections. They are primarily used for connecting posts to beams and for position stability.

For mounting on wood, anchor nails (ring shank nails) dia. 4.0 mm or wood screws are to be used.
For mounting on concrete, the flat connectors are fixed by means of bolts.
When using flat connectors, the requirements of the wooden construction standard regarding the edge and end distances must be observed.
The requirements of the timber construction standard must be taken into account for the fasteners.
